her hips an EXCELLENT rating. Keeper was 2 yrs. old in Nov. her sire is Simon and
Dancer is her dam.

It has been a very busy couple of months. The lambs have all arrived and doing well, the
pastures are starting to get green and I think we've finally seen the last of the snow.
I was fortunate this past week to get away to the beautiful state of WA. While there I
attended a Pat Hastings seminar on canine structure. I had a great time visiting old
friends and finally putting faces with some of the members of the ISAA. It was good to
see the ocean and the mountains again.
Dancer is now in heat and I will breed her to Simon hopefully next week. Contact me
soon if you might be interested in a puppy, I only have space for a few more.
Poppi and I attended a dog show in late March she is now UKC CH Pine Plains Bella.
We continue to improve in agility and maybe early fall will attend our first show.

Dancer is starting to look like puppies will be coming in a few weeks.
The rain has stopped and the cisterns are full, and the grass needs mowed. The garden is
bountiful with greens and onions, and broccoli, and tomatoes are coming soon.
We are so thankful for all that the land provides us.

Dancer had her pups last Fri from 9 - 2am. Not bad for 10 pups. She had 6 boys and 4
girls. A few of you who had been waiting to hear I know I said 7 boys and 3 girls, sorry
I was a bit tired and my count was off. All the pups are doing well and growing strong.

It's hard to believe the pups are now 3 weeks old. All are healthy and growing stronger
each day. Starting to run a little and lots of playing and growling. Next week they will
move to their pasture pen where they can see the sheep and goats, and soon I will be
building a new chicken coop inside the pasture so the pups can get used to chickens. More
and more people are using LGD's for poultry, so it just makes sense to start early. More
exciting news we have a new milk goat. I've been making lot's of cheese and yogurt.

The pups are now on solid food, they have been introduced to all the animals except the
sheep. They moved to their pasture pen but came back to the kennel area attached to the
barn due to all the rain we've had in the last few weeks. It's a beautiful day here so I
took lot's of photo's of the pups with the chickens, goats, and the dogs. CLICK HERE

Lot's of work to do in the garden before winter. I've been canning, making cheese, and
tending to the few pups that are left from our June litter. They are growing well, and
bonding with sheep, goats, and chickens. I've met some great families with this litter, a
couple came all the way from BC to pick up their pup. They will be moving with their
Morgan horses, chickens and the rest of their family to their new farm in a couple months.
If you are looking for a future guardian that I guarantee will work for you and your
livestock, check out our puppy information page.

It's been quite an exciting month here. I attended our first Icelandic National Specialty in
Wauseon, OH earlier this month with Poppi and Brana. Poppi went BIS under judge Diane
Anderson, and BOS under judge Pat Putman, and Brana got her CGC title.
My feet are still off the ground. The following weekend Bob and I took a trip with 2 pups
from our June litter to Shepherd Falls Farm in NY and brought back a beautiful moorit
ram. Steve and Mary have 2 pups from our 06 litter and their herd of Icelandics is
growing. The colors were fabulous and we did a tour of the wineries up the Cayuga, one of
the finger lakes.
We now have 2 Icelandic roosters. Hopefully next year we can add some hens. Thanks Carl.

The weather here in SE Ohio has been very warm for this time of year. We still haven't
had a fire in the woodstove yet. I think that's a first. Hay is in, firewood is in the shed,
sheep have been shorn, and the billy is in with the does, and the bucks are in with the 2
groups of ewe's, and the lambs just went to butcher this week. I'm still picking lettuce in
the garden, along with broccoli. We now have a new greenhouse that Bob has been working
on all summer. Our new crop of lettuce and spinach is already starting to grow inside, and
it's filled with herbs that I dug up out of the gardern.
We have so much to be thankful for.

Happy New Year.
Winter has finally arrived here in SE Ohio. We have just started to eat our first crop of
lettuce and spinach from the greenhouse what a treat. Gracie has passed her health tests
and we now have our 2nd CHIC Great Pyrenees. Gracie has OFA excellent hips and her
patella's, elbows and cardiac are all normal. We are planning a late spring breeding with
Simon. If you would like to be put on a waiting list please give me a call or send me an email.
